The EU-funded project ResBios is hosting a webinar as part of its communication actions, to share ideas and talk about gender, science communication and biosciences.

New Professor Appointed at the IFB UG&GUMed

For the first time at the University of Gdańsk, a celebration in honor of University academics recently appointed professors took place. A new academic tradition has been initiated by University of Gdańsk Rector, Professor Jerzy Piotr Gwizdała.

The official ceremony honoring new University of Gdańsk Associate Professors took place on 25 June 2020 in Theatre Hall at UG Faculty of Languages.

25 years of Biotechnology in Gdańsk

The Intercollegiate Faculty of Biotechnology (IFB) of the University of Gdańsk (UG) and the Medical University of Gdańsk (MUG) celebrated its 25 anniversary on June 6, 2018. During the ceremony at the University of Gdańsk, both rectors – Rector of the UG, prof. Jerzy Gwizdala, and Rector of the MUG, prof. Marcin Gruchała delivered speeches and former deans – prof. Wiesław Makarewicz, prof. Jacek Bigda and prof.

The Baltic Blue Biotechnology Alliance (ALLIANCE) is looking for promising cases in the field of blue biotechnology in need of dedicated expert support for product and service development. Case partners will explore new ideas with the potential to develop sustainable and innovative products from marine biological resources that are relevant to and for the benefit of the Baltic Sea Region (BSR).
